Interstellar

There was once an era
of blonde girls and bleached hair
A time that separated the men
from the rest of the boys

Though in the end, I don't believe
that anything really mattered
We were all made out to be
the object of another toy

Brokenhearted, we flocked to the streets,
internet super highway
Marching in line to the beat of a drummer
that couldn't be seen

Was it even fun? I couldn't figure out
where we were going anyway
Instead, we thought we had crossed
the finish line in one piece

What a trip that was,
Numbers and equations

But now we're dealing with all of the difference
and what's the same
Trudging along a trench, a grave
that's already been dug out for me

A doe eyed girl following me on the way home,
a flow by a different name
Dodging cars as well as hearts,
someone should knock me into reality
